Must be a currently licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner or Therapist in the State of South Carolina.
Provides respiratory therapy to patients, including obtaining vital information from patients, determining their level of functionality, and conducting respiratory assessments as needed. In addition, provides patients, caregivers, and medical personnel instruction of the proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment.

Visits patient homes as necessary and appropriate
Obtains and records vital information, level of functionality, and respiratory assessment
Assesses the residential environment of each patient to ensure the equipment can be operated safely
Serves as liaison between patient and other members of the healthcare team when required.
Performs oximetry tests when required
Performs performance improvement testing and preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment in patient’s residence
Instructs patients, caregivers, physicians, and physicians staff on the proper use of respiratory equipment and necessary cleaning requirements
Delivers/pick-ups equipment and/or supplies to patients’ homes
Participates as an active member of discharge team
Contacts physician and/or necessary healthcare team members regarding orders, complications, recommendations or service issues
Evaluates respiratory equipment for home use
Develops and updates respiratory care protocols
Takes On-Call schedule, including answering any page within 10 minutes
Responds physically to after hour service requests within the assigned service area within two hours
Maintains necessary supplies per stocking ledger in vehicle
Ensures that the company vehicle is cleaned, properly fueled, and maintained at all times
Completes patient files including equipment and clinical visits, related progress reports, and necessary billing information.
Participates in medical and business conferences as a representative for company.
Ensures that there is a 48 hour turnaround on documentation on patient files.
